We are sorry. Here is what to do now.
You do not have to decide everything tonight. Read this when you can, or call and we will walk you through it.
What to do, in order.
Call a funeral home first.
They take care of your loved one, the death certificate, and the cremation or burial. If hospice was involved, a funeral home may already have been called.
Call us before the arrangement meeting.
The funeral home will ask where your loved one will rest. Call us first. We will tell you what is open here and what it costs, so you walk into that meeting knowing.
You can buy the urn and headstone here.
You do not have to buy them at the arrangement meeting. Ask us what ours cost before you decide. The container from the crematory is fine for burial.
Come and see the place.
Walk the grounds or the mausoleum whenever the gates are open. You do not need an appointment.

If family is already here
If a parent or spouse is buried here, their grave can often hold cremated remains too. That costs an opening and closing fee, not a new plot. Call and we will look it up for you.

Questions families ask this week
Do I still need a funeral home?
Yes. A funeral home handles the body, the cremation or burial, and the death certificate. We handle the place. Most families use both.
Does everything have to be decided this week?
No. Start with the funeral home. Where your loved one will rest can be settled in a conversation with us, and cremated remains do not have to be placed right away.
Can we hold the service in your chapel?
Yes. The chapel seats about 40, and anyone can book it, even if your family is not placed here.
What if the office is closed when I call?
Leave a message with your name and number. We will call you back.
Call first, read later.
We will answer what we can on the phone, and nothing has to be signed today.
